Does God Show Himself?

Someone might think and could then ask the question, and both occur, just the thinking sometimes and then sometimes the asking of the question: “If God is real, then why doesn’t He just show Himself to us?” First, God is real. Second, He does show Himself to us.
Not necessarily in this order, but, one, God came as a man directly in and as Jesus Christ. Jesus is the second member of the Godhead, eternally preexistent, Who by Him all things consist and Who upholds all things by the word of His power. He came in human flesh with a task to complete, continuing as God as man on earth.
When God was here as such and in fulfillment of over three hundreds prophecies in the Old Testament, He was showing Himself to us. He came so that we would believe on Him. And what happened? Here’s an example. In John 11, He raised Lazarus from the dead, and then in John 12 what did the people do? They sought to kill both Him and Lazarus, the latter who already had died. That is what people do when God shows Himself to them.
When you read the book of Revelation, God shows Himself to mankind in the astronomical way that they say they seek. What do people do when God shows Himself to them? They raise their fist into the sky at God and rebel against Him. Not everyone. Whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Many will do that, but not the majority.
In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul says that men already know God, because He revealed Himself to everyone, so that they are without excuse. The excuse is that He doesn’t show Himself. Paul says, “No, everyone already sees God through creation, conscience, providence.” These are sufficient for someone to believe, since God will give more revelation if someone receives that revelation.
